Susan Boyle, appearing yesterday via a satellite on the Oprah Winfrey show at her home in Scotland and declared she was not sure if she would win the talent competition “Britain’s Got Talent.”
Even though videos of her performance have been viewed over 100 million times on Youtube and she has gain a huge amount of adoring fans worldwide, including such celebrities as Obama, Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore, Susan feels a little insecure. Boyle told Oprah and Simon Cowell who also appeared on the show, “Well, I’ve the chance, but at the same time, there’s a lot of other talent in the competition.” She added, there’s a lot of good talent on the show.”
Asked by Oprah if she had undergone a makeover, she said her best friend had done her makeup denying that she had actually had a makeover. Simon Cowell has told her that she does not need a makeover that “it’s all about you and your singing voice now. Whatever you feel comfortable with, you do.”
During the show, she admitted that she found her new found popularity a little bit troubling. “Well, it all takes a bit of time to take in,” Boyle said. “I mean these things have happened so quickly. It’s pretty awesome.” However, she is enjoying every second of it, adding, “It’s like a dream come true.”
Oprah asked Susan if she was lonely, which she is not, finding that everyone has been “so nice. I’ve got millions of new friends now.’ Susan Boyle revealed she feels she has millions of friends thanks to her overnight stardom. However, her new found fame has forced her to go into hiding. Susan said, “It all takes a bit of time to take in.”
Boyle is favoured to win the Britain’s Got Talent competition which comes with a £100,000 prize. Stay tuned…
