Susan Boyle star of Britain’s Got Talent has declined a dinner date with President Barack Obama according to the News of the World.
An unnamed source has said that the singer, whose audition has been seen all over the US, turned down an invite to the annual White House Correspondent’s Dinner in Washington, DC.
Stating she was too nervous to attend the Presidential event, she “was shocked and thrilled by the invite – but it was too much too soon for her”, a source has said. She is delighted to hear that Obama had seen her video clips on TV and loved her singing. Susan feels it is too soon for her.
“But instead she’ll have no doubt stayed in with her cat Pebbles, washed her hair and watched Britain’s Got Talent on telly,” the paper quoted a source as saying.
News of the World reports that Susan Boyle is a fan of the US president and hopes to sing for him one day soon.
