Last night on the show America’s Got Talent, the special interview with Meredith Vieira on the American show the “Today Show” with Susan Boyle was broadcast. Susan looked calm and elegant. Looks like she has accepted her instant stardom and is doing very well, indeed! She was calm and poised. You have to admit that “instant stardom” and your dream coming true at the age of 47 or 48 (Susan’s age) has got to be hard and even more so if you have led a simple quiet life for four decades in a tiny Scottish village as Susan has.

Su-Bo revealed in the interview that not only had she had a makeover (as mentioned in my previous article, but she also spoke about how much she loved Donny Osmond when she was younger. Well, there was a surprise or rather, a couple of surprises for Susan in store. First, Donny Osmond appeared by video cast congratulating Susan and then offering to sing a duo with her in the future. The next surprise for Susan was the appearance of her idol Elaine Paige in person! Susan was “flabbergasted”! Surprised in a very good way! Wow! How Susan’s life has changed. Elaine Paige sat down to talk to Susan and told her how she learned of Susan and her instant fame and there is now a possibility that Susan will actually sing a duet with Elaine. Elaine also gave her some advice on handling stardom. Imagine that! I Dreamed a Dream has definitely become a reality for Susan!

Meredith Vieira also asked Susan about her new album which she is currently recording, but Susan remained tight-lipped about that because, well, it’s a secret. Her album is due out in the fall.

We also heard about Susan’s mother who supported her daughter and believed in her talent and that she should sing. Susan’s mother died a couple of years ago and her passing was very tough for Susan. Susan summoned up the strength to do what would have pleased her mother to no end and that was to go for it, enter the Britain’s Got Talent show and sing. Her mother must be gazing down from the heavens, just beaming for her daughter’s success.

We also got to see in this special interview Susan’s videos from her appearances on Britain’s Got Talent and a video of Susan on tour with the Britain’s Got Talent winners. Piers Morgan also appeared on the interview praising Susan and explaining to the public how much strength this woman has to have made the passage from a quiet life in a small village to instant stardom. I think Susan has received a lot of support from Piers and because they recognize her talent, realize what she has had to deal with and they want the beauty of her voice to continue to be shared with her fans throughout with the whole world.

Let’s all wish a wish of continued success for Susan and share in the joy of one ordinary person finally finding her dream. Let’s hope the vicious media just lay off with those stupid stories. The lady has so much talent. Let her be.
