Susan Boyle's latest cd - The Gift

Susan is looking fantastic on her new CD titled “The Gift” released in late 2010.  Newly coiffed, classy clothes and jewelery, professionally trimmed eyebrows and subtle makeup, make the new Susan look every bit the princess of song that she is.  This new Susan Boyle CD is a welcome addition to her collection of songs.

There are many Christmas songs on the album, naturally, as this was released on November 9th, just in time for Christmas shopping.  Within three days of announcing the album, the song shot to Number 1 on the Amazon Bestseller list based on pre-order sales.

The first song is a good instrumental accompaniment and beautiful rendition of the song originally written by Lou Reed called “Perfect Day.”

On the second track, Susan sings Leonard Cohen’s song “Hallelujah.” and makes it her own holy version of the song with the melody of her beautiful voice.

This collection of songs includes some Christmas songs including “Do you Hear What I Hear?” a duet with Amber Stassi, “The First Noel,” “O Holy Night,” “Away in a Manger,” and “Come all Ye Faithful.”

The other songs on the CD are classical in nature including “Auld Lang Syne” and “Make Me a Channel of Your Peace,” a traditional hymn about shunning violence and finding your peace with God and man.

Although there are mostly Christmas songs on the CD, it is not totally a Christmas CD.  You can listen to these peaceful songs from Susan any time and any place.  They are soothing and wonderful to hear.

Susan Boyle’s voice has a youthful, melodious sensuality which surpasses most songstresses putting out music these days.  Susan doesn’t have to slink around like the stripper most other singers have to do in order to sell CDs and concert tickets.  Susan is a throwback to the days when singers were classy and succeeded in their careers on the merits of their voice.  It’s a pity that Susan’s beautiful voice was not discovered earlier and we could have, by now, much more music from this songstress.

Susan wanted to touch hearts with this music in this CD.  She spoke of how music has always been her companion and hopes that her adoring fans enjoy her latest release.  She hopes that each person who listens to these songs will find their own meaning within the songs and music.

Susan Boyle on ITV – Oprah

Unfortunately, the last video we posted on Susan Boyle’s Site got deleted from YouTube so our readers can’t see Susan Boyle interviewed by Oprah Winfrey anymore.

However, here’s a nice new video for us all to enjoy. Susan talks about the bullying she had to endure as a child. However, she’s ended up a megastar. I wonder how those bullies feel now. Hope this video of Susan Boyle doesn’t get deleted on YouTube again.
